Cruise Georgian Bay Poster
In the first half of the 20th century steam ships cruised the Great Lakes and Georgian Bay, providing key transportation links for goods and passengers. Cruise ship traffic on vessels like the SS South American and SS North American slowed as road and air traffic became more popular in the 1960s. Recently, cruise ship traffic in Georgian Bay has experienced somewhat of a renaissance, with ships like the Pearl Mist once again calling on ports like Parry Sound multiple times per year.
This hand-screened vintage-inspired design celebrates a simpler time when the means of transport was an important part of the adventure and experience of exploring Georgian Bay. Printed on 100lb paper by artist Stephanie Cheng it measures 20" tall by 16" wide, a standard poster size that makes for easy framing.
This poster is also available framed if picked up from 18 James Street in Parry Sound (shipping not available). The framed version is finished with solid wood grain 1" black frame.
